THE LECTURE
Renewing the meaning of fatherhood on a personal and societal level is one of the most important issues of today. This journey will focus on the spiritual and psychological dimensions of fatherhood. The lecture will go beyond simple prescriptions and techniques to explain the importance of fatherhood in the lives of every man and woman, as well as in our present culture. The “Father” is one of the two great pillars of society that shape and support human life from its beginning. Men who are struggling to be fathers and women who are struggling to find their voice, as well as anyone struggling with their own fathers will find a wealth of healing ingredients that will awaken inner sources of renewal and inspiration. This lecture will explain the importance of the “Father” in Jung’s theory of individuation and the archetypal dimensions of fatherhood, how we experience them, and how we can affect what they mean in our lives. One of the many subjects explored will be the critical importance of courage, passion and love as key ingredients of the “spirit of fatherhood.”
